About Flown

Flown is a free, open source flight log: record the flights you have taken, see them on a map, and explore the statistics.

Thanks to OpenFlights

Flown would not exist without OpenFlights, which first showed that a personal flight log could be free, open and shared. Flown is an independent project, not affiliated with OpenFlights, that began as an attempt to bring the same idea to phones and today's browsers. If you have years of flights there, you can bring them with you: Flown imports an OpenFlights export as it is.

Where the data comes from

Flown's airports, airlines and aircraft types are compiled from these open sources, and the result is available under the Open Database License:

• OurAirports: airports, countries and regions
• Wikidata: airlines
• OpenFlights: airlines and aircraft types
• OpenTravelData: aircraft types
• Timezone Boundary Builder: time zones, from OpenStreetMap data
• Natural Earth: country outlines on the map
