What is stored

• Your username, your email address, and your password as a hash that cannot be turned back into the password.
• The flights, trips and notes you enter or import.
• A session cookie while you are signed in. It is the only cookie, and it is needed for signing in to work.

What is not done

• No advertising, no analytics and no trackers. Pages load nothing from other sites.
• Your data is not sold or shared.

When you ask Flown to look up missing details

Only when you press that button, this site downloads public US flight records for the months in question and, to find an aircraft type, sends the aircraft registration to adsbdb.com. Nothing that identifies you is sent.

If you or this site have given Flown a key for AeroDataBox, a lookup of a flight the US records do not cover, including "Look up" in the flight form, also sends that flight's number and date to AeroDataBox, through the marketplace the key came from.

Who can see your flights

Nobody, unless you choose otherwise. In your settings you can make your profile public, either as a map with totals or with the full list of flights. You can also share a single trip by link. Your notes are never shown to anyone else.

Taking your data with you, or removing it

You can download everything at any time from the Export page. Deleting your account in your settings removes it and all of its data at once.

This instance of Flown has not said who runs it.
